It's dedicated to its writers and readers—their visions, their goals, their success, their unique styles of expressions. BFP is an author-centered press, meaning: Our focus is improving the socioeconomic status of our selected writers’ lives, and enhancing and producing their work so that they may enrich the lives of BFP’s readers. Our principles, mission, and vision are distinctly humanistic—our writers, readers, and material are as diverse as life. BFP celebrates and more importantly participates in expanding and broadening the culture and interests of others. Each writer has an audience, regardless of size or subject, that needs to commune, create community. BFP respects this social nature and encourages both mystic and prophet, comedian and life coach to extend his/her writerly hand and reach for like minds, experiences, and lives through literature. Books by Black Freighter Productions is a different type of press, this is the press that publishes the heart and soul of people's work. Here—you'll find essence—the work that was produced during those times in a writer's life that were most trying, most joyous, most inspirational, most challenging, most human. The works published here are those works that redefine and reignite. BFPs writers and writings have power, the power to produce new relationships based on understanding and shared experiences.
